Happy With Safety Lady Buys Another Fusion To Replace Wrecked One

Maureen Edgerton, 51, of West Yellowstone, Mt., was driving home on the dark night of April 11, when she unexpectedly slammed her 2007 Ford Fusion into a herd of bison. The 55-mile-per-hour impact totaled the car and killed several of the migrating “American buffalo” on the snowbound highway. Edgerton, however, walked away with only minor scrapes and bruises. Impressed by the Fusion’s crash protection, safety features and fuel efficiency, Edgerton has picked the new 2010 Ford Fusion to be her next new vehicle.

Alan Mulally Calls Fusion Hybrid Buyer To Thank Him

Ford is heading in a new direction and Alan Mulally is determined to do everything he can to make sure America understands that. That’s why he called and personally thanked Michael Snapper a Grand Rapids, Michigan attorney who chose a 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid over it’s competitor the Toyota Prius. Michael actually ordered the Prius but him and his wife had second thoughts after they started paying attention to what the American automakers were coming out with. After a lot of thought and research they decided to change their mind and canceled the Prius and ordered the 2010 Fusion Hybrid. Their story lead to Alan Mulally personally calling them to thank them for giving Ford a chance.

Ford Fusion Powered By EcoBoost?

Ford Fusion Powered By EcoBoost?

We’ve known for almost a year that Ford’s EcoBoost line of turbocharged engines would proliferate through the Blue Oval’s lineup, beginning with the 3.5-liter V6 and then moving downward in displacement to include turbocharged 2.0- and 1.4-liter inline fours. When the wraps came off the 2010 Ford Fusion in LA, we were disappointed that Ford hadn’t announced the availability of the 2.0-liter turbo, with horsepower and torque output similar to the blown four-pot offered by GM (260 hp, 260 lb-ft). We would’ve been happy to see the turbo’d 1.4-liter that our own John McElroy had the chance to sample in May, but alas, nothing.
